tomorrow, tomorrow

i'm leaving tomorrow. i've got a short list of things to get from the store. i am a night person so i see myself staying up late tomorrow, not getting much sleep and trying to catch up on the plane ride. it's going to be one long day and i will need that mexican beach to lay on.

usually i am not a person to talk to random people but today this older guy started talking to me about getting his license and how he loves his buick and people who buy small cars are silly cause they are dangerous. but he was trying to convince me to get a kia because they are cheap. we were both riding max with our bikes but he is sick of all the waiting. i didn't want to get into all the benefits of it so i just let him talk. then he mentioned something about all his traveling and i heard "blah, blah, blah, guatemala" and i was like "whoa, i'm heading there soon" and he told me about all these places i should see. he was back and forth between guatemala and mexico for 3 years teaching english. i'm not sure i would've liked to learn english from him, but he seemed like a good guy. he was telling me the differences in spanish between mexico and guatemala (yikes!). when we got off at our stop he insisted i get a shot of gamma globulin for hepatitis because "if you get it, you can damage your liver" (uh-huh) and i said, "yes sir, have a good night". it was a nice conversation and he was a funny guy. someday that might be me.

in 28 hours i will be on the plane, ready to take off. between now and then...lots of chaos and hopefully some sleep. i am ready though. i am almost there!
