only a few minutes

i´m waiting for a truck to take me to semuc champey and it should be here in 15 minutes. tikal was AMAZING! ruins in the jungle with monkey and jaguars. it was totally awesome and beautiful. i don´t have time right now to write about it now but i definitely will when i can get online again. yesterday we spent about 9.5 hours in a minivan on the way to lanquin. it was amazingly hot, although not too bad when we were moving. we stopped in this town called sayaxche which is basically a small town on a river. we were there for about 2 hours because we needed to cross the river. there is no bridge there! so there were two lines - cars/little trucks and bigger trucks/semis. we were in the latter. they have this little ferry that can carry one big truck and maybe 8 other little cars but most of the time it was less. when someone asked why they don´t build a bridge they said the toursists like it. NO WAY!! we wasted 2 hours there! it was very hot and probably the dumbest thing ever. i better go outside to wait for my truck. swimming in a river awaits!
